Nadia got an apprenticeship in carpentry with support from Jobs Victoria

As a child Nadia loved tinkering with tools in her backyard. At 30, she decided to turn this passion into a carpentry career; but found as a ‘mature age’ female apprentice that it was difficult to get a foot in the door.

With the support of Jobs Victoria and AGA, Nadia is now one of 300 new apprentices and trainees we’re recruiting to work on Victoria’s biggest infrastructure projects.

Nadia is also undertaking a Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining valuable skills working on a major hospital development.

"I'm really grateful to AGA and Jobs Victoria for this opportunity to pursue and apprenticeship, and it's a great way to start my career."
