Priority Workforce Projects are designed to deliver secure jobs for people who need extra support to find work including:
- women aged 45 years and over
- people who are long-term unemployed
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- people with disability
- people seeking asylum, and refugees
- newly arrived migrants from non-English-speaking backgrounds
- people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who face additional barriers to employment
- young people aged 18 to 25
- single parents
- veterans.
These earn and learn programs are equipping jobseekers with the skills employers need.
Are you looking for staff? Priority Workforce Projects work with employers who are:
- committed to providing opportunities to people who need extra support to find work
- passionate about growing the workforce in their sector
- able to offer secure and inclusive roles of at least 12 months to candidates from priority groups.
If this sounds like you, we can connect you to a pipeline of pre-screened local candidates who have undertaken industry training or are currently enrolled in a relevant qualification. They will also have a dedicated mentor to support them, and you, in the role.
We are currently not accepting new proposals for the Priority Workforce Projects. We are delivering a range of projects that connect priority jobseekers in sectors experiencing workforce shortages, for more information see our earn and learn opportunities.
