We’re investing $3 million to create 100 roles in dental assisting traineeships.
The roles will provide career opportunities in the public dental sector.
As well as receiving paid employment for at least 12 months, participants will complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, giving them a qualification on which they can build their future careers.
Women aged 45 and over, young people between 18 and 25, Aboriginal Victorians and others facing difficulty finding work are encouraged to apply.
Career opportunities in the sector are wide-ranging, including roles in oral health support, patient liaison and support, customer service and equipment sterilisation support.
