Jobs Victoria, in partnership with Freight Victoria and the Victorian Transport Association (VTA), is fast-tracking 125 jobs in the freight and logistics sector to fill workforce shortages with freight companies.
The Freight Industry Training for Jobseekers Project will train candidates to secure long-term job opportunities to ensure essential supplies get to where they need to be. The program will focus on women, who currently make up just 16 per cent of employees in the sector, plus other priority cohorts.
The $2.478 million employment project will deliver freight industry-specific training programs in critical areas such as heavy vehicle driving, forklift driving and warehousing.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from motivated individuals interested in becoming permanent, fulltime warehousing employees and undertaking paid training that will lead to an on-the-job placement.
Multiple positions are available across Melbourne. No experience is necessary, so we encourage you to apply.
- Forklift Drivers / Warehousing & Logistics - No experience necessary full training provided
- Heavy Vehicle Drivers - No experience necessary full training provided
