Interested in a hospitality or tourism job but don’t have experience? How does paid training at or above award wages sound?
We have multiple full-time and part-time 12-month traineeships available in hospitality or tourism across regional Victoria. Jobs are available in cafes, restaurants, tourist attractions and more. You’ll get a formal qualification and pick up valuable lifelong skills.
You’ll get:
- 12 months’ secure work as a paid trainee
- up to $10,000 above award wages (if you stay in the role for more than 12 months)
- full-time or part-time work
- the opportunity to complete a Certificate II or III in Tourism or Hospitality for free
- free mentoring support.

Choose from roles in housekeeping, food and beverage preparation, events, and other accommodation services. Jobs include:
- food and beverage attendants
- bar staff
- room attendants
- valets/porters
- kitchen hands.
Roles are available across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available (minimum 20 hours per week).

We’re recruiting hundreds of people across Victoria for jobs in hospitality. If you are an employer looking for staff, this program could support your business.
These are ‘earn and learn’ roles that provide participants with the skills they need to start a career in the hospitality sector.
Staff will receive:
- up to five days paid hospitality training
- uniforms
- tools of the trade (where required)
- ongoing support, such as mentoring
- at least 20 hours’ work a week for up to 26 weeks.
Pre-employment training is provided in areas such as Food Safety, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Wine and Service, Coffee Making and Professional Waitering.
