We’re offering paid traineeships in business, finance and work health & safety roles in the building and construction industry. These are ‘earn and learn’ opportunities, where you’ll get on-the-job experience and a free qualification. Roles are available across Victoria.
As a trainee you will:
- be paid from day one
- gain valuable experience working on major infrastructure projects
- complete on-the-job training to gain a nationally recognised qualification
- receive additional support including individual mentoring and assistance with the purchase of necessary equipment and course materials.
Traineeships are an excellent opportunity for people with limited qualifications and limited work experience to obtain knowledge, practical on-the-job work experience and a certificate level qualification, providing a great start for future employment.

Ready to kick start your career in building and construction?
We’re offering a 12-week paid training program to give you the skills and opportunity to work on major projects. The program provides a pathway to an apprenticeship in building and construction in the Barwon region.
You will:
- be paid a wage while you attend and undertake training for 3 days per week over 12 weeks (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week)
- have your training credited towards an apprenticeship in the construction sector
- receive free work-readiness training
- receive free mentoring and support.

These are ‘earn and learn’ jobs where you’ll do paid local government work while training for a relevant industry qualification.
