Jobs Victoria Advocate, JT Bhuller enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and helping them with whatever employment challenges they are facing.

JT Bhuller – Jobs Victoria Advocate:

The thing I enjoy most about my role as an advocate is, I get to meet people from all different walks of life.

And then you're able to help them with whatever challenges they may be facing at the time.

Sophia is a personal trainer. She had her own business. But due to the pandemic, as I found with a lot of people, she was struggling with clients and with work.

Sophia Karamitos – personal trainer:

I was just speaking to a friend and she told me, “I know a Jobs Victoria advocate,

and he'll help you out.”

I gave him a rundown about my past history. My strengths, weaknesses. And he linked me up to the job interview.

JT Bhuller – Jobs Victoria Advocate:

The challenge was that gyms were uncertain with the pandemic, and going in and out of lockdown. So, a lot of gyms were, I think, hesitant to take on new people.

Whereas this particular gym, they’re a big franchise, and their preference was

female personal trainers. So I think it was a really good opportunity for Sophia.

Sophia Karamitos – personal trainer:

I did find a new job. Thanks to JT.

JT Bhuller – Jobs Victoria Advocate:

There's plenty of help out there. Don't be afraid to ask. We're out there in the community. If you see us, feel free to approach us.

That's our job. At the end of the day, we can refer you to the right services.
