Jobs Vic Advocates - We're not helping with writing a resume.

We're here as a referral service just to point people in the right direction if they're looking for jobs or a career change or some training locally.

Day to day, I'm often visiting a range of different towns and just getting the word out. Developing relationships with people in town so they know that we're here.

We take a client-centred approach. We look at their story and get as much information as we can, and then send them to the most appropriate next step for them.

So really it requires us having a wide range of knowledge of what's all throughout the Wimmera and what services are offered, where essentially, and what the eligibility criteria are.

And actually what's going to be the best fit for that person. And what's proven itself to be a really good service already.

I love seeing people improve themselves and challenge themselves and kind of move to where they want to be in their life I suppose.
