Jobs Victoria Advocate connects people in the Wimmera to the right support for them

Based at the Wimmera Development Association, Melissa knows the services available in her community. She also understands the unique challenges people in the area face when it comes to finding work.

Melissa gets to know each person who comes to her – learning their strengths, challenges, and goals – before referring them to support that’s right for them.

“We take a person-centred approach. We look at their story and get as much information as we can and then send (support) them to the most appropriate next step,” she says.

“I love seeing people improve themselves, challenge themselves, and move to where they want to be in life,” she says.
