Chris Choong recently hired three new staff members at his Jamaica Blue coffee shop in Westfield Fountain Gate thanks to the Jobs Victoria Fund.

The Jobs Victoria Fund provides Victorian businesses with wage subsidies of up to $20,000 for each new eligible employee. With this financial support, employers can hire people to help their businesses grow.

Chris says his coffee shop is a place where all are welcome. Of his three new staff members, two are from migrant backgrounds and the other lives with a disability.

Two of Chris’ employees, Mia and Chloe, have Autism, and Chris is supporting them to train as baristas at the café.

Chloe Listing has learned a lot since she started working at the café. More importantly she's enjoying the work.

"It’s really good here," Chloe says. "Very welcoming and understanding. There’s no judgement."
